Photographing relief maps at the University of Wisconsin
One of the more academic assignments I’ve had over the last few years has been photographing relief maps at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for geographer Melanie McCalmont of Synchronous Publications. In this televised lecture Melanie discusses the relief maps at the University of Wisconsin. I really enjoyed the project and it created a whole set of technical challenges including photographing 3D maps in a tall stairwell and photographing some of the relief maps in very tight spaces.
