Science, technology and manufacturing photography

One the my favorite aspects of the job is visiting and photographing American workplaces that are often not accessible to the public. I am a curious person by nature and love to learn about others’ specialties.

Growing up, my favorite books were all cyberpunk: Neuromancer, Snow Crash, Burning Chrome, Ready Player One, and Zodiac to name a few. I listened to electronica and industrial music by default. I’ve been into next-gen technology for as long as I can remember (see my first website weaztek.com circa 1998).

When I was given the opportunity to photograph a science lab/manufacturing facility in the research park not far from home–I was ecstatic. NCD Technologies  adheres Nanocrystalline Diamond to Tungsten Carbide micro-endmills. Vivid projects like this truly validate my career choice for me.
