For several months I’ve been wanting to visit the wind farm in western Wisconsin. Today, my father and I went out to Montfort to check it out and snap a few photos. The 20 turbines were working hard and it was a very impressive site to see. A farmer pulled up while I was taking some photographs and we chatted for a while and he mentioned that three of the units are on his farm. He brought us over there and I was able to get a very unique, close up view of the turbines. They were exceptionally quiet and elegantly designed for a minimum footprint on the environment. I hope to see many, many more wind farms powering our future.
